Owner of Springfield Health and Fitness Center, co-owner Champion City Crossfit and president of Spartan Productions. Pat has been a competitive athlete, strength coach and personal trainer in the Dayton and Springfield Ohio area for more than 30 years.
Pat now specializes in Extreme weight loss and transformations, taking on only the most challenging clients.

Josh Lloyd - Trainer
Josh Lloyd holds an Associate’s Degree in Exercise Science, is a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise, and holds a specialty certification in Sports Conditioning. He is also the co-owner of Alpha Athletics. He has worked at all levels in the fitness field but found he most enjoyed working one on one with clients. Josh has been working with personal training clients and athletes for 10 years. He has experience working with all different types of people, from weight loss clients who have never set foot in a gym to division one collegiate athletes. Josh offers one on one personal training, group sessions, fitness consultations, as well as week by week online workout plans.
Peter Hurst - Trainer
Peter Hurst is one of the many trainers at Springfield Health and Fitness who has been training clients for almost 3 years now with Alpha Athletics. Peter’s personal training certification is through the American College of Sports Medicine and schooling through Sinclair Community College. Peter works with a variety of clients anywhere from strength athletes looking to increase athletic performance, to older populations looking to seek the benefits of exercise.

Jayson - Trainer
Jayson is one of the best motivating and inspiring trainer today. Jayson has been a fitness trainer for several years focusing on long term fat loss. His enthusiastic approach along with his experience in fitness programing such as bodybuilding, fat loss and cardiovascular conditioning has made him one of the best trainers for fitness enthusiast.
He utilities a number of different techniques to engage and incorporate the entire body. He is familiar with the most updated information in the training world and uses his knowledge to optimize the components of physical fitness. Jayson is proficient in writing customized recommendation along with demonstrating safe and effective methods of exercise and inspiring individuals to healthier habits.
Stacy Hobson - Trainer
Stacy is PN Level 1 certified at Precision nutrition; a certified personal trainer at International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA); a certified body pump instructor at Les Mills; received her Associate's degree from Clark State Community College where she then went on to receive her bachelor’s and master’s degree at Franklin University.
Training is focused on properly guiding clients through various exercises that focuses on strength training techniques utilizing various types of resistance, including body weight. Core focus of these trainings is to help guide the clients to learn how to incorporate an exercise regime into their busy lifestyle.
She works closely with each client to help them learn and understand the basics of sound nutrition by guiding them to let go of the “one size fits all approach” by finally breaking the diet cycle and working to create a plan that fits their unique lifestyle.
This training approach is effective because:
- It allows the client to learn that exercise can be incorporated in their daily life without having to set aside hours to do it.
- It allows the clients to create habits that are attainable; therefore creating consistent and sustainable healthy lifestyle.
- Allows the client to finally have more energy, self-confidence, weight-loss, fat-loss and the stress relief that they have been longing for.
Chris Schaeffer - Trainer
My passion for health and physical fitness began in high school. The combination of participating in many different athletic endeavors and my curiosity for anatomy and physiology ultimately defined my career path. Post high school I completed the Sport and Fitness Management degree program at Columbus State Community College where I extensively studied; exercise physiology, prevention and treatment of injury protocols, beginner/intermediate resistance training techniques, and basic nutrition. I began my Personal Training career in 2005. For a few years I worked with clients in a variety of settings and facilities before joining the training team at Springfield Health and Fitness in 2009. Along the way I have accumulated a number of credentials including certifications by the American Council on Exercise (ACE Personal Trainer), the National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT Master Trainer), and CrossFit Inc. (CF-L1).
Along with working with Personal Training clients, I have been a co-owner and head coach at Champion City CrossFit since 2013.
Keith Clay - Trainer
Co-Founder of Excellerated Fitness LLC.
Licensed Massage Therapist from the Ohio State Medical Board since 2004. Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM) since 2007. Certified Metabolic Effect Nutritionist since 2013. Practicing martial artist and CPR Certified.
Avid Triathlete since 2010. I have competed in multiple Ironman 70.3 distance races as well as Sprint and Olympic distances.
Avid runner since the mid 1980's, competed in multiple marathon and half, marathon distance races, obstacle course enthusiast , Spartan, Savage and Warrior Dash and races of all distances. These races are a great test of not only your endurance but also your physical strength and mental toughness.

I have helped clients train for specific athletic events as well as for the most common reason someone seeks a trainer and that is for weight loss and overall better health. Bobby Chadeayne - Trainer
Bobby Chadeayne is the co-owner of Alpha Athletics. He holds a personal training certification through American Council on Exercise and has a specialty certification in Sports Nutrition. His love for Springfield has been his driving force in starting Alpha Athletics. “I love this city. This town and these people have allowed us to do what we love. The support is amazing.”
Why does he enjoy training others? “There is not a better feeling, in this world, than helping someone achieve their goals. Everyone has it in them, it’s my pleasure to help them see that.”

Jennifer Blauvelt - Trainer
Jennifer Blauvelt is a certified personal trainer through international sports sciences association (ISSA), A certified Les Mills body pump instructor, and certified dance fitness instructor.
Jenny has experience working with a wide variety of people through many different fitness domains including, weight loss, strength and conditioning, bodybuilding, and general fitness. Her focus is on developing a positive body image while establishing healthy guidelines to use in everyday life. She enjoys staying active herself by incorporating strength training, powerlifting, and staying active in the community.
Codey Adams - Trainer
Codey Adams is a lifelong resident of Springfield, Ohio and a graduate of Springfield High School.
He has been a trainer and employee at Springfield Health and Fitness Center for over 4 years. Codey is an ISSA certified personal trainer, specializing in fat loss, body building, online training, and muscle weight gain.
His clients include men and women of all ages with various levels of previous fitness experience. He is especially experienced in extreme weight loss where he guides his clients to 100+ plus weight loss. Codey is dedicated to his clients and has a deep passion for health and fitness.
He is committed to a lifelong career in the health and fitness industry and will soon be training for a bodybuilding show.
Chad Straley - Trainer
Chad Straley attended The Ohio State University for Exercise Physiology. He specializes in extreme power sports and explosive training. He is a very well decorated powerlifter and has been a part of the gym industry as an athlete and strength coach since he was 18 years old.

Katie Slanker - Trainer
I have been Certified as an Athletic Trainer through the NATABOC and Personal Trainer through AFAA since 2002. I enjoy helping people of all fitness levels achieve their goals; whether it is losing weight, competing in endurance events or simply keeping up with your grandchildren! I provide the education, motivation and accountability necessary to achieve your goals. I can't wait to show you how much fitness and healthy lifestyle can change your life!
